In our last edition of iListen we mentioned that we will be creating some new columns in this publication. This is the first of a regular column about what is happening in the national office, the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association is your organization and we want you to be “In the Loop”.
In this edition, you’ll read about staff changes in the national office. These changes will better support our work across the country are aimed at providing direct support for our national networks, members, visibility and fundraising activities across the country. In the coming month we will be launching a new database that will provide you with many self-service options online, we will be expanding our website to provide all our networks with their own microsite on the www.chha.ca website, and we will be releasing branding guidelines to ensure a consistent experience when interacting with CHHA across the country. These are just a few of the items you asked for, and we listened. In addition, you’ll read more about our upcoming webinar on “Making A Plan to Vote”, how a Calgary teen’s science fair project brought hearing loss to the forefront and the basics of a Registered Disability Savings Plan.
I hope you enjoy reading this issue of iListen and if you have any suggestions for further columns or would like to be a contributor, send me a note at email@example.com.
