Who We Are
The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) is a national not-for-profit agency focused on inspiring and empowering Canadians with hearing loss. Our mission is to connect Canadians impacted by hearing loss through advocacy, education, programs, and community engagement.
The Employment Access Framework (EAF) project is a partnership between (CHHA), Mohawk College, and George Brown College, and is funded through the Ontario Labour Market Partnerships (OLMP).
The (EAF) Project is developing research to understand the key labour market skills identified by employers and the barriers that Deaf and Hard of Hearing Ontarians face to access the labour market. The research phase is near completion, and the project is moving into the third phase to develop employer related resources.
The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) is soliciting quotes from qualified vendors to produce an awareness and promotional video, 5-8 minutes in length. The video will be designed to inform and engage employers in Ontario about findings from the Employment Access Framework (EAF) Project and the business case for inclusion. The focus will be on why the Deaf and Hard of Hearing job seekers are viable candidates to fill employment needs and how employers can become champions for inclusion. The video will be in two parts: 1) an overarching engagement campaign and 2) highlights of accessibility best practices for specific industries.
Requirements for Submission
Please include the following in your response:
a. Cover page: Company name, address, website, contact information, company biography and proposal summary including:
i. Related Project Experience: evidence of delivering projects of similar scope, demonstration of ability to work with multiple partners, experience with non-profits, and familiarity with the disability related issues. Include experiences with integrating accessible communication supports (e.g., ASL/captioning).
2. Project Resources
a. Naming of staff resources with identification of:
i. Expertise and experience of project leads.
3. Costs Projections (must be within budget maximum of up to $20,000 including taxes)
i. Outline of core service and production costs.
ii.Define any additional charges (e.g., travel expenses, material costs etc.)
b. Proposals must be received by October 21, 2022, at 5pm.
c. Project must be completed no later than November 30, 2022.
