Youth Program Coordinator
75 Albert Street, Suite 901
Kelsey has lived in Victoria, British Columbia, her entire life. Her progressive hearing loss led to one cochlear implant when she was 17 and the second when she was 29. Kelsey has been playing piano since she was three years old and completing Grade 8 at the Royal Conservatory of Music with First Class Honours. She currently volunteers with the Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre and Cochlear Canada as a community mentor and technology consultant. She enjoys learning ASL, working on a stage production about hearing loss, and creative writing in her free time.
As the new Youth Program Coordinator under the CHHA National Youth Development Leadership Project, Kelsey is eager to bring her resourcefulness and creativity to support both the National Office team and the Young Adult’s Network. She will also be supporting CHHA and VOICE for Deaf Kids with the creation of a new youth mentorship and peer support program in Ontario.
