Vivien was diagnosed at the age of six with complete hearing loss in her right ear. Because of her hearing loss, she has sought to form a community that she could connect with. She has more than ten years of experience working for Indigenous, Canadian, and international non-profit organizations, the United Nations, as well as governments around the world to secure millions in funding, set up new organizations and initiatives, restructure programs, develop policy, conduct research and evaluate projects.

As a member of the board for CHHA, she is dedicated to forming a community where she can inspire and empower Canadians impacted with hearing loss towards success; as well as maintain CHHA as the national voice on hearing loss during these online times.
