Connecting Canadians with Hearing Loss

We’re creating accessible, connected, and equitable communities for Canadians with hearing loss. We want you to join us on this journey.

Empowering Canadians, Enriching Lives

The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) stands as a beacon of hope and a source of strength for people with hearing loss across Canada.

Established with a vision to create a barrier-free society, CHHA champions the rights, needs, and aspirations of those who live with hearing loss.

From coast to coast, we lead initiatives in advocacy, education, and support to ensure that every Canadian has what they need to hear and to be heard.

Dive deeper into our story, our mission, and the ways we’re making a difference across Canada.

Empowering Through Engagement: Our Key Programs

Discover CHHA’s programs designed to support, educate, and empower individuals with hearing loss. Each program is tailored to meet the unique needs of our community and drive positive change across Canada.

Mentorship Program

Our Mentorship Program connects individuals with hearing loss with experienced mentors. Through one-on-one support and group drop-in sessions, you’ll gain insight on personal development, career advice, and navigating daily life with hearing loss.

Accessible Navigation to Employment (ANTE) Program

The ANTE Program is dedicated to creating accessible employment opportunities for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. We provide free upskilling to individuals and accessibility training for employers.

Get in the Hearing Loop (GITHL)

GITHL advocates for the adoption of hearing loop technology in public spaces. This program raises awareness about this transformative technology that allows individuals with hearing aids and cochlear implants to receive clear, direct sound without background noise.

Each program is a step toward a more inclusive and accessible Canada for all.
