CHHA Scholarship Winner
Claudine Goulet, a 26-year old student from Montreal, Quebec, has been awarded the second annual CHHA Scholarship. At 6 years of age, Ms. Goulet was diagnosed with a hearing loss. She is currently enrolled in the biomedical science program at the University of Montreal.
Frank Algar Memorial Scholarship Winner
The first recipient of the Frank Algar Memorial Scholarship is Ainsley Latour. Ainsley is a second year biology student at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. She is also enrolled in the Queen’s-Trent Universities’ concurrent education program. Ainsley was diagnosed with hearing loss at age five, and by age seven was left with a unilateral profound hearing loss.
Both announcements were made on May 29, 2004 at the CHHA Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba during the awards banquet.
