Call for Workshop Proposals
Our package for submitting workshop proposals is available for download in Adobe PDF format.
The CHHA 2011 Planning Committee is designing a program that will build on the success of previous CHHA conferences and respond to the suggestions received from meeting participants. We invite you to share your work, ideas, and challenges by submitting a proposal for a workshop. The theme for the 2011 Conference is “Drums of Hearing – North of 60°.” A full line-up of educational workshops has been scheduled for June 17 and June 18, 2011. Some of the topics to be discussed include Audiology in the North, Living with Tinnitus, Storytelling, Rights of Hard of Hearing, etc. Many of the speakers are long time northerners.
Workshop spaces are still available. Submit your proposals today! Suggested topic areas include, but not limited to:
* New technical hearing devices
* Coping strategies and stress management
* Education and employment issues for young adults
* Health issues facing persons with a hearing loss
* Advice on listening devices for home and office
* Cell phone, Bluetooth and wireless technology
