When:	May 21 - 24, 2009
Where:	At the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland (formerly the Fairmont Newfoundland), located in downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland

Schedule of Events

Thursday May 21	Opening Ceremonies and Trade Show open to conference delegates.
Friday May 22	Opening Plenary Session followed by Workshops, Trade Show, and Silent Auction.
Saturday May 23	Workshops, Silent Auction, Awards Banquet and Entertainment.
Sunday May 24	Tours, Details to Follow (Extra cost incurred not included with registration fee)

Special Programs:

Workshops	The theme for the 2009 Conference is "Technology: The Gateway to Hearing Life" and reflects the impact technology has on persons with hearing loss and their families. A full line-up of educational workshops has been scheduled for May 22 and May 23, 2009. Some of the topics to be discussed could include cochlear implants, tinnitus, captioning issues & accessibility, hearing aids, speech recognition software, etc. Young adult sessions are also included.
Trade Show	A variety of booths representing the many areas that affect the everyday lives of hard of hearing people including displaying and demonstrating the latest technology.
Silent Auction	A Silent Auction will take place with all the proceeds to offset the conference expenses.
